Let’s Get Lost
Description courtesy of Lightbox Film Center:
Renowned photographer Bruce Weber traces the career of iconic jazz artist Chet Baker through to his final years in the Oscar nominated documentary Let’s Get Lost. Featuring archival footage of Baker and following his rise, fall and eventual comeback Let’s Get Lost is shot in shimmering black and white and imbued with a deep sense of respect for its subject. Baker emerged from the West Coast “cool” jazz scene of the early 1960s and quickly became a star. His occasionally tragic life story is told in intimate detail and is punctuated with extraordinary performances by the trumpeter and vocalist. (Bruce Weber, USA, 1988, 120 min.)
