Join us on Saturday, April 12th for the return of Mount Vernon Cemetery's Girls Like Horror Members Only. True Terror Tour & Trivia Contest! Warmer weather meets bone-chilling TRUE & TERROR-ific tales of Philadelphia's long-neglected Mount Vernon Cemetery (MVC). Although MVC has been closed to the public for decades, the Friends of Mount Vernon Cemetery, in collaboration with Girls Like Horror Film Club, will be opening its rusty iron gates to take horror fans on a unique journey through the blighted 169-year-old cemetery's mysterious and tragedy-riddled past. Spoiler alert: Be prepared for the uncanny as MVC is covered in, as the New York Post declared: "creepy stuffed animals that inexplicably appear overnight." In other words... "Be afraid.
