A film noir featuring Gloria Swanson as faded, delusional Hollywood actress Norma Desmond. William Holden co-stars as the struggling writer she hires to edit the screenplay she believes will usher in her comeback. The story is twisted and cynical, the black and white cinematography is stunning, and writer-director Billy Wilder is at the top of his game. Often considered the best film about Hollywood.
