Holy pepperoni pizza pals, we are just two weeks left until production of Pizzaman!
We are now down to the wire with our crowdfunding campaign… if you are interested in funding the film and want to see this slasher short get made, please consider contributing to our Seed and Spark campaign here. We need to raise 80% of the goal in order to keep the funds, so any amount of dough you can spare is appreciated.
Now without further ado, let us introduce you to another cast member from Pizzaman…
Name: Carleigh Spence
Role in Pizzaman: Pizza Heaven Employee and The Destructive Delivery Driver, Lucy
Where's your favorite pizza place in Philadelphia?
Genaro’s was everything to me when I was studying at UArts. Classic Philly pizza. But if you’re looking for something veggie or vegan, Blackbird’s cheesesteak pizza transcends the meaning of pizza. It’s absurd.
What is your favorite pizza topping?
Pineapple and banana peppers!! Together. Something I picked up from an ex and was deeply skeptical, but it’s life changing. But yeah, I know I’m going to hell, incredibly excited.
What aspect of the Pizzaman production are you most looking forward to?
I love flashback scenes, specifically getting to play around in different decades post 50’s. Seeing how costumers think I’d look in the 70’s or 90’s is the most fun. Excited to deliver pizza through the decades.
What's your favorite film and why?
Ken Russell’s Tommy (aka The Who’s “Tommy”). It is aesthetically insane, I will always love that album, and both my mother and I are obsessed with Ann Margaret’s performance and wardrobe. Please Youtube “Ann Margaret - Champagne” at your earliest convenience.
Do you have a favorite slasher flick? If so, what is it?
Not true slasher but I love classic horror movies and Stephen King. Carrie is one of my all time favorite books and movies. Sissy Spacek is a huge influence on me, and the movie rides the perfect line of cheesy and spooky. I think the same kind of beauty is what makes slasher flicks so appealing.
What do you love about making movies?
Few other art forms take the amount of people in different fields and set them towards the same goal. There’s something insanely gratifying about sitting down with your costars and crew, directors and PA’s, and watching what you all made together. Everyone feels equal and gets to see how they contributed. It’s like a huge picnic. I could live in moments like that forever.
